Easter, Part 2

Here are a few more pictures that I have gotten from Easter. Enjoy!

Jack and Nelli

I had to post these precious pics of Jack and Nelli from Saturday night. Jack desperately wanted to drink water like Nelli. He attempted a few times and finally got it. I'm not sure what Nelli thought. They had a blast wrestling on the floor.

Easter 2009

Again, I am a little overdue on the blogging. I have been getting ready for a party at our house this weekend and have put blogging at the bottom of the priority list. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. I know we did.

Dad and Kim came in on Friday with lots of crawfish to boil. We had a crawfish boil Friday night with some old family friends The Willis' that just happened to be in town and other friends and family. It was great to see The Willis boys, Chet and Ben. I have not seen them in like 28 years or something close to that.

As you can see in this picture Jack had a great time with the crawfish. He had to stir them about every 5 minutes.

Our friend Andi's sister was in town and she brought her son Trip that is only a few weeks older than Jack. We have been wanting to meet him for a while and are glad that they got to come. The boys had a blast. It looks like Mr. Chet was telling them a good story.

Saturday we relaxed around the house and then dyed eggs that night. Jack loved it. He had to do it all on his own, so we had a pretty big mess after, but it was well worth it.
The Easter Bunny was very good to Jack this year. It was Jack's first year to really understand what was going on so I think he wanted him to have plenty to enjoy. The first thing he grabbed was his Harold the Helicopter. He is really into Thomas and Friends and other than the choo choo's the helicopter is his favorite.
Later Sunday morning we headed to a wonderful Easter Mass at our church. It was great having my Dad, Kim, Lindsay, James, and Mimi at church with us. There was no nursery so Jack got to come into church. Let's just say we will never attend church again if there is no nursery. He wanted everyone in church to know that he had choo choo's and that Jesus was there. Afterwards they had a little easter egg hunt for the kids. Jack loved it and thought all of the eggs were his.

Later that afternoon we relaxed and then grilled out steaks for dinner. It was a wonderful day. We are so thankful for all of the many blessings we have in our life.

1st Annual Edmiston Easter Egg Hunt

Our friends, The Edmistons had an easter egg hunt/cookout yesterday afternoon. We took Jack not knowing how he was going to do. He is quite independent these days and one minute wants to do something and the next minute he is telling us "no". Well he loved it. They opened the gate and he took off picking up eggs and throwing them in his basket.

We are definitely ready for Easter. I think we are going to skip seeing The Easter Bunny this year because he freaked out last weekend when we tried to take a picture with Sir Topham Hat, but we are going to die some eggs and have a little hunt on Sunday. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend!

A Day at the Farm...

We have been trying for a while now to find a weekend to go to our friend Joey's farm and we finally had the opportunity to go this past Saturday. The boys went down early Saturday morning and then the girls met them after lunch. When I got there Jack was sleeping in the hammock with Joey's Mom and had been there for over an hour. He slept for about another hour from when I got there. Brandon said he had been nonstop sincet they got there.

We got to fish and ride around on the Kubota. Later that night Mrs. Joan and Mr. Don made us a wonderful dinner and we sat in there outside dining room for dinner. After that we put Jack down and the adults played catch phrase and just hung out on the pier talking. We had a blast and can't wait to go again.

Poor Jack came back with his right leg full of cuts and bruises, but had a blast getting them.

Jack liked to fish with the net. See how close he was to the water. I was a nervous wreck. Later I made Brandon put his life vest on in case he did fall in.

The boys fished in this boat most of the day and caught a good many fish.

Sena was determined that she was catching a fish before the sun went down. She caught this little bitty one first and was so proud, but not satisfied. She kept trying and got the one below. It was a little bigger.
Jack was mesmorized by this fish, but did not want to touch it at all.
Robbi and his first fish of the day.

Thanks Joey and Andi for such a fun day at the farm!!
